Hoshun Yamaguchi October 15, 1893 May 31, 1971 Japanese painter. Born in Matsushiro-cho, Matsumae-gun, Hokkaido. After graduating from Tokyo Takanawa Junior High School in 1913, he entered Tokyo University of the Arts. Studied under Eioka Matsuoka and learned Yamato-e. Graduated in 23, participated in the Shinto Yamato picture society in 1924. Received the Imperial Art Academy Award in 2014. 29 years Judge Exhibition judge. He is a counselor of the Japan Exhibition Management Committee for 50 years, a member of the Japan Academy of Arts, a director of the Japan Exhibition Exhibition Committee of 54 years, a managing director of the Japan Exhibition of 58 exhibitions, a Medal of Culture in 1965, and a person who has a distinguished service. 1969 Nitten Counselor. The style of painting is considered to be the Japanese expression of Western European paintings.
